# Android Email Set Up Instructions

#### Configure your Android for CommuniKate mail.

You can use the exact same mail server settings for your DBIS address too!

1\. Tap **Settings**

2\. Tap **Accounts and backup**\

3\. Tap **Manage accounts**\

4\. Tap **Add account**\

5\. Tap **Email**\

6\. Tap **Others** \ <img src="/files/-MbnrVTSwmCrkKvkrHE1" alt="" data-size="original"> \
\

7\. Enter your email address and password, then tap MANUAL SETUP.\

8\. Select IMAP account as the account type.\ <img src="/files/-MbnsIdaOeKUG27_GVQO" alt="" data-size="original">\
You need to scroll up and down to fill in all fields.

**Make sure your full email address is in the Username Bar.**\

9\. Under **INCOMING SERVER**

Change IMAP Server to mail.securekate.com \
Change Security Type to SSL (ignore the option … accepting all certificates) \
Change Port to 993\ <img src="/files/-Mbnt_BZEvy0BniY1uVR" alt="" data-size="original">\

10\. Under **OUTGOING SERVER**\
Change SMTP Server to mail.securekate.com \
Change Security Type to TLS (ignore the option … accepting all certificates \
Change Port to 465 but 587 will also work\ <img src="/files/-MbnumvsHiEdH0vliAP1" alt="" data-size="original">&#x20;

**Require authentication to send emails should be enabled.**&#x20;

**Make sure your full email address is in the Username Bar.**\ <img src="/files/-Mbnv7gtmf38O8p18R3t" alt="" data-size="original">&#x20;

11\. Tap **Next**

12\. For Account Options, choose any settings which reflect your preferences or leave defaults then tap **Next**.\ <img src="/files/-MbnvS2fcpSurEh3eVHv" alt="" data-size="original">&#x20;

13\. Give this email setup a name or leave defaults and tap **Done**.\

#### If you cannot send mail, please check the following settings:

From the Home screen, tap Email.\
Tap Menu, then the gear icon.\
Tap your e-mail address.\
Scroll down, then tap Server Settings.

Under ACCOUNT, Email Address and User Name should be your full email address.\
Enter your email Password.

Enter the INCOMING SERVER settings:

IMAP server: mail.securekate.com\
Security type: SSL\
Port number: 993

Enter the OUTGOING SERVER settings:

SMTP server: mail.securekate.com\
Security type: TLS\
Port number: 465

Authentication required before sending emails should be enabled.

Username: your full e-mail address\
Password: your e-mail password

Tap Done.

#### If you need to change your password, please follow the below steps.

From the Home screen, tap Email.\
Tap Menu, then the gear icon.\
Tap your e-mail address.\
Scroll down, then tap Server Settings.

Under ACCOUNT Enter your new Password.

Scroll down to OUTGOING SERVER.

Authentication required before sending emails should be enabled.

Enter your new Password, then tap Done.
