Outlook 2003 Email Setup

Below are the settings for adding your CommuniKate e-mail account to Outlook 2003.

Click Tools then E-mail Accounts. Select Add a new e-mail account, then click Next. Select IMAP, then click Next.

Enter your Name and FULL e-mail address. Next to incoming mail server, enter mail.securekate.com Next to Outgoing mail server (SMTP), enter mail.securekate.com

Under Login Information Enter your FULL e-mail address next to Username. Enter your e-mail password next to Password. Check the box called Remember password.

DO NOT check the box called Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)

Click the More Settings button. Click the Outgoing Server tab. Check the box for My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.

Click the Advanced tab. Next to Incoming Server (IMAP), enter 993.

Check the box called This server requires an encrypted connection. Next to Outgoing Server (SMTP), enter 465.

DO NOT check the box called This server requires an encrypted connection. Click OK. Click Next. Click Finish.

If you cannot send mail, please check the following settings:

In Outlook, click Tools then E-mail Accounts.

Select View or change existing e-mail accounts, then click Next. Highlight your CommuniKate e-mail address, click Change.

Under Server Information, change both the incoming and outgoing mail server to mail.securekate.com

Click the More Settings button. Check the box for My Outgoing Server (SMTP) requires authentication. Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.

Click the Advanced tab. Next to Incoming Server (IMAP), enter 993, or if Incoming Mail (POP3), then enter 995.

Check the box called This server requires an encrypted connection. Next to Outgoing Server (SMTP), enter 465.

DO NOT check the box called This server requires an encrypted connection. Click OK. Click Next. Click Finish.
