Outlook 2010 Email Setup

Below are the settings for adding your CommuniKate e-mail account to Outlook 2010.

  1. Click the Office button, located in the lower-left corner of your taskbar and select Info.

  2. Click the Account Settings drop-down menu, then select Add Account.

  3. Check Manually configure server settings or additional server types, then click Next.

  4. Select Internet Email, then click Next.

  5. Enter your Name and FULL e-mail address.

  6. Select IMAP in the Account Type drop-down menu.

  7. Next to incoming mail server, enter mail.securekate.com

  8. Next to Outgoing mail server (SMTP), enter mail.securekate.com

  9. Under Login Information Enter your FULL e-mail address next to Username.

  10. Enter your e-mail password next to Password.

  11. Check the box called Remember password.

  12. Click the More Settings button.

  13. Click the Outgoing Server tab.

  14. Check the box for My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.

  15. Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.

  16. Click the Advanced tab.

  17. Next to Incoming Server (IMAP), enter 993.

  18. Next to Use this following type of encrypted connection drop-down menu select SSL.

  19. Next to Outgoing Server (SMTP), enter 465.

  20. Next to Use this following type of encrypted connection drop-down menu select TLS.

  21. On the Add New Account page, click Next.

  22. After Outlook 2010 tests your account, click Close.

  23. On the Congratulations page, click Finish.

  24. On the Account Settings page, click Close.

If you cannot send mail, please check the following settings:

Click File, Account Settings, then Account Settings again. Highlight your e-mail address, then click Change.

Next to Incoming mail server, enter mail.securekate.com Next to Outgoing mail server (SMTP), enter mail.securekate.com

Enter your FULL e-mail address next to Username. Enter your e-mail password next to Password. Check the box called Remember password. Click the More Settings button.

Click the Outgoing Server tab. Check the box for My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.

Click the Advanced tab. Next to Incoming Server (IMAP), enter 993 and select SSL as the encryption type. If your Incoming Server is (POP3), then enter 995. Next to Outgoing Server (SMTP), enter 465 and select TLS as the encryption type. Click OK. Click Next. Outlook will test your settings. Once the test is complete, click Close. Click Finish.
